Sometimes dubbed “Stroller Valley,” Noe Valley has become a mecca for young professionals and young couples starting families. Its rich history and stunning architecture makes it a wonderful place for anyone to live or visit. Developed primarily at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, the neighborhood is rich with Victorian and Edwardian architecture peppered with newer construction homes. Surrounding hills and sunnier weather gives the feeling of a quaint village tucked inside the City.

The Noe Valley neighborhood boundary encompasses 22nd Street to the north, Randall Street to the south, Dolores Street to the east and Grand View Avenue to the west. The neighborhood is mostly residential with the majority of shops and restaurants along 24th Street between Church and Diamond streets, and on Church Street between 24th and 30th Streets. Many of the retailers are small, independently-owned shops, though you’ll also find more familiar brands like Starbucks, Whole Foods and Peet’s Coffee. A farmer’s market on 24th Street (between Sanchez and Vicksburg) occurs year-round every Saturday.

The J Church Muni Light Rail connects residents to downtown/ Embarcadero Station, and the 24 Muni bus winds through Noe Valley heading south to Bayview and north to Pacific Heights. The major technology shuttle buses also stop along Noe Valley, and its more southern location allows for easy freeway access.
